Support groups
A support group brings together people going through the same experience: the loss of someone close, divorce, illness in the family, caring for an ageing or ill parent, or another situation no one chooses but everyone has to carry. Each group has one theme and stays with it.
The difference from a personal development group lies in its purpose. A personal development group changes what keeps repeating in a person; a support group helps you bear what cannot be changed, or at least not yet. In hard times, people are often told it will pass and that they need to be strong. In the group they hear something else, from people who know what they are talking about, because they are there too. My role is to hold the frame: to make sure everyone gets a word in, that no one competes over who suffers more, and that the group remains a place without judgement.
You sign up by email at udruzenjeconatus@gmail.com and mention the theme that concerns you. Once enough people have signed up for the same theme, the group starts, online or, if the participants are from Belgrade, in person.
